Douglas, GA – Christmas Eve Crash on U.S. 441 South Claims One Life

Police said officers responded to a collision at approximately 6:41 p.m. on December 24, along U.S. Highway 441 South. The crash involved a Jeep and at least one other vehicle. When officers arrived, they provided aid to those involved in the collision.

A female occupant of the Jeep was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, authorities said she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased. Her identity has not been released.

The incident remains under investigation by the Douglas Police Department.
