Three Minors Hurt in Side-by-Side Rollover on George Deen Rd in Coffee Co., GA

Coffee County, GA (June 25, 2026) – Three juveniles were hurt on Monday afternoon, June 22, after a side-by-side vehicle rolled over on George Deen Road in Coffee County.

A 2023 Polaris Ranger XD was traveling west when it began to spin in the eastbound lane, traveling 70 feet across both lanes of traffic before leaving the road. The vehicle continued into a ditch for another 50 feet while spinning, then flipped after striking a culvert before coming to rest on all four tires. All three occupants, ages 11 to 16, were thrown from the vehicle.

The three juveniles were taken to Coffee Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the wreck.

We hope all three children make full and smooth recoveries.

What Legal Options Do Parents Have After a Child Is Hurt in a Side-by-Side Crash in Coffee County, GA?

When a child is hurt in a side-by-side vehicle accident in Coffee County, parents have the right to pursue a personal injury claim on the child's behalf under Georgia law, and several factors specific to this type of incident may affect what legal options are available.

One important consideration is whether the vehicle itself played a role in causing or worsening the crash. Side-by-side vehicles, also known as off-road utility vehicles, are subject to certain safety standards and design requirements.

If a problem involving the steering system, stability, brakes, seat restraints, or another mechanical component contributed to the vehicle losing control, a product liability claim against the manufacturer or another responsible party may be worth examining alongside any other potential claims.

At the same time, determining why the vehicle began to spin or overturn in the first place will likely be central to the investigation. The cause may involve driver actions, mechanical issues, terrain conditions, maintenance problems, or a combination of several factors. Reviewing the available evidence carefully can help provide a clearer picture of how the incident unfolded and who may bear responsibility.

The fact that multiple children were hurt in the same rollover adds another layer of complexity. Although the injuries resulted from a single event, each child's medical condition, treatment needs, and long-term recovery may differ significantly. Because of this, each family may need to evaluate their child's circumstances independently rather than viewing the incident as a single shared claim.

Personal injury claims involving minors in Georgia also involve additional legal protections designed to safeguard a child's future interests. In some situations, settlements involving children require court approval to ensure that compensation appropriately reflects both current and future needs.

Investigating the cause of the rollover, reviewing whether the vehicle contributed to the injuries, and evaluating the long-term impact on each child can help families better understand what options may be available moving forward.
